Freedom Awakes: The Souls of Spoon River Return
Step into a world where the past and present converge in a poignant celebration of freedom. Inspired by the legacy of Abraham Lincoln and the era that reshaped a nation, this original theatrical production—directed by Emmy-nominated Pamela Peak—invites audiences to a 19th-century Illinois graveyard where the spirits of the departed share their untold stories.
Inspired by Edgar Lee Masters’ Spoon River Anthology, the performance features the talented On Impulse™ Acting Troupe, known for their emotionally charged and authentic portrayals.
Through a tapestry of monologues and music, the narratives of love, injustice, and resilience come alive, highlighting the enduring human spirit and the journey toward liberation.

A Note About Parking
It is suggested that you arrive early on Saturday, June 21st and have dinner in one of downtown Laguna Beach’s great restaurants here:

Please park in one of the many public lots in and around The Laguna Beach Cultural Center. (Lot #23 is closest to the Cultural Center but you can map them out.)
There is also metered parking in downtown Laguna Beach.
